127e in Straight Pipe (Voigt style cabinet)

The switch on the side
is an L-pad that controls a piezo super tweeter on the back that's
been damared. A 1uf cap along with a 20 ohm resistor does the trick
nicely. I just turn the dial until a little more tweet is audible.
Sound is fine without the super tweeter but I prefer it on. This is
a major improvement over the Radio Shack 1354's that were installed
for several months.
This is a cool speaker
project that I will keep for a while! Removable baffles were the
key!

New holes drilled.

Glue on back to hold
foam from art supply store. 49 cents per sheet.

Glued and trimmed with
an Xacto knife.

New baffle installed.
Screws were 19 cents each from Lowes. Home Depot has them too.
Baffle is pine stained Ebony Minwax. Four coats of hand rubbed poly.
Smooth to the touch and beautiful in person. Everyone just loves to
touch the wood... keep your hands away from the driver! Grills will
be my next project and will hang from the screws... maybe.
